About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care and support in accordance with the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to meet patient care needs
  • Maintain and continually enhance competencies through ongoing professional development
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department
  • Support the development of colleagues and students through precepting and mentorship

Requirements:

  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

What We Offer:

  • Permanent Full-time Position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • $36.57 Hourly
