About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will be responsible for practicing within the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice and demonstrating competencies in the provision of care. You will also be expected to maintain and continually enhance your competencies through ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, research, and continuous quality activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medical services and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will be a registered and licensed Advanced Care Paramedic with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) and have a minimum of one year of experience working in a hospital setting or emergency care.

About You
  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent Part-time (50%) Position; 37.5 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$31.52 - $36.57 Hourly
