Advanced Care Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing within the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice, demonstrating competencies in patient care, and maintaining current registration with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia. You will also contribute to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department, supporting the development of colleagues and students through precepting and mentorship.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a strong background in paramedicine, preferably with one year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic. You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A current BLS (HCP) certification and registration with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia are required. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent full-time position, with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The hourly rate is $31.52 - $36.57, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
