About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Service Worker to join our team at Terrace and District Community Services Society. As a Community Service Worker, you will play a vital role in providing social support and services to clients in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed reports and case histories for clients.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and eligibility for specific services.
  • Program Delivery: Develop, coordinate, and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, including life skills workshops and substance abuse treatment programs.
  • Counselling and Support: Provide individual and group counselling sessions, as well as suicide and crisis intervention services.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Program Evaluation: Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs and maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research.
  • Client Support: Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, and supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
