Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources professional to join our team at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering a range of Human Resources services and programs, including talent acquisition, disability management, and HR information and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to employees and management on HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Support the Senior HR Business Partners and HR management with recruitment, talent acquisition, and staffing activities.
  • Manage disability claims, including monitoring and communicating claim updates, and exercising judgment to identify claim risks and irregularities.
  • Communicate benefit policy, process, and role expectations, and respond to questions and concerns.
  • Provide support to the HR team with HR projects and initiatives, including workforce planning, recruitment, and employee relations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively senior experience in human resources.
  • Degree or diploma in human resources management and a professional designation such as CHRP or CHRL an asset.
  • Strong orientation to client service delivery, solutions-focused, and demonstrated business acumen and judgment in a professional fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated professional credibility and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and experience interpreting and applying this within the context of human resources policies and programs.
