Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL) is a Crown corporation responsible for overseeing the Canadian federal interests in four international bridge crossings between Canada and the United States.

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for providing air, equitable, accountable, and transparent human resource (HR) services. This includes providing program leadership, due diligence, and business support in various areas of HR.

You will work in collaboration with key stakeholders in support of FBCL's strategies while living the values of the Corporation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day HR functions in support of the efficient operation of HR programs, including recruitment and onboarding, community partnerships, leave support, return to work, job descriptions, end of employment, and employee recognition programs.
  • Build effective working relationships with employees and people leaders, providing advice and guidance on a range of HR programs, policies, procedures, and collective agreements.
  • Administer, report, and monitor occupational and non-occupational injuries, illnesses, accidents, and leaves.
  • Assist in maintaining accuracy of the Human Resources Management System (HRMS).
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Human Resources normally acquired through post-secondary education.
  • Sound knowledge and broad understanding of employment laws and legislations, of Human Resources challenges and trends.
  • Proficient skills and experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
