Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Commercial Bakeries Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing human resources policies and programs. This includes advising managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mediating labour disputes and grievances, researching and preparing occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales, and administering benefit employment equity and other human resources programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and implement human resources policies and programs
  • Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements
  • Mediate labour disputes and grievances
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales
  • Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
  • Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  • Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Coaching
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Human resources software
