About the Role

P. Ravensbergen & Sons Ltd. is seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our horticulture team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and Prepare Soils: Blend and prepare soil mixes for optimal plant growth.
  • Pot and Repot Plants: Carefully transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings into larger pots.
  • Apply Fertilizers: Administer fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Monitor Plant Health: Regularly inspect plants for signs of insect or disease damage.
  • Water and Tend to Plants: Ensure plants receive adequate water and care.
  • Clean Work Area: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Work Environment

As a Greenhouse Labourer, you will work in a dynamic and physically demanding environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
Language and Work Conditions

This is a temporary work opportunity with a 40-45 hour workweek. The work language is English, and you must be legally able to work in Canada.
