Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Tsawwassen Mills. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in ensuring all operational, business, and personnel targets are achieved for the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Assist the Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring compliance with all company policies and government legislation.
- Team Leadership: Develop and implement effective succession, recruiting, hiring, and training plans to ensure a high-performing team.
- Customer Service: Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure accurate inventory levels and styling selections, maximizing sales and minimizing waste.
- Financial Management: Assist in maintaining wage costs and overall expense control within assigned guidelines.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures relating to NSB (POS system) integrity, maintaining confidentiality of retail operating information.
- Communication: Develop seamless communication with other retail store managers, adhering to any and all visual merchandising guidelines.
Requirements:
- College or University degree and 1 year of Retail experience, preferably in the Sporting Apparel & Footwear industry.
- Prior management and key holder experience preferred.
