Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Health Specialist to join our team. As a Community Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting health and preventing disease in Indigenous communities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive healthcare services, including community health, primary care, and home care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide community health services, including health promotion, disease prevention, and health education.
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive healthcare services.
  • Develop and implement health programs and services that meet the unique needs of Indigenous communities.
  • Conduct health assessments and provide health counseling to clients.
  • Collaborate with community partners to promote health and well-being in Indigenous communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Current CPR course for Health Care Providers.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license.
  • Understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of nursing processes and community health principles.
