Community Health Nurse Specialist

About the Role
As a Community Health Nurse with the First Nations Health Authority, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing services to remote communities. Your expertise will be essential in delivering core nursing functions, including community and public health, primary care, and urgent and emergent care.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Basic Life Support Certification Level C
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Providing point-of-care nursing services in remote communities
- Supporting other health professionals with orientation, training, and information
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and interventions to address health issues
- Advocating to key stakeholders to enhance services that promote the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, groups, and communities
