Community Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Community Health Nurse to join our team at the First Nations Health Authority. As a Community Health Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing services in remote communities, including community and public health, primary care, and urgent and emergent care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide core nursing functions and services in remote communities
- Support other health professionals with orientation, training, and information
- Plan, implement, and evaluate programs and interventions to address health issues
- Advocate to key stakeholders to enhance services that promote health and wellbeing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Basic Life Support Certification Level C
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
- Minimum one (1) year of recent point-of-care nursing experience in a related or relevant field
- Knowledge of evidence-based clinical nursing practice, including current concepts of primary care nursing
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently over rough roads, by float or small plane, by boat or helicopter
