We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Faculty of Veterinary Medicine as an Academic Leader in Small Ruminant and Camelid Medicine.
Job Description:This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our teaching, research, and service mission in small ruminant and camelid medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in the DVM program and developing an active externally funded research program in areas such as infectious disease, One Health, vaccinology, and diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions to undergraduate and graduate students
- Develop and implement curriculum content related to small ruminant and camelid medicine
- Mentor students and supervise graduate researchers
- Conduct research in small ruminant and camelid medicine, with a focus on obtaining external funding
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A DVM (or equivalent) degree
- Board Certification in Small Ruminant Medicine
- Experience in teaching, course development, and mentorship/supervisory experience
- A PhD or equivalent degree
- Postdoctoral research experience in small ruminant research, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in grant writing and securing external funding
- Leadership experience in academic or professional settings
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
