At HavenWorks Contracting, we are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent, 35-hour-per-week position that requires minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a college, CEGEP or non-university certificate and be willing to train. They will be responsible for tasks such as cleaning, operating industrial vacuum cleaners, and supervising other workers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sweep, mop, and scrub hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Clean windows, walls, and ceilings
  • Supervise other workers
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas

A First Aid Certificate is a requirement for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and be able to work in physically demanding conditions.

Personal qualities required include dependability, excellent communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organization, and reliability.
