About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Director of Planning & Redevelopment, coordinating all administrative requirements and activities to support the development of redevelopment planning documents.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for scheduling user group meetings, establishing administrative procedures and guidelines, and acting as a liaison with executive assistants and administrative assistants within the portfolio and across the health authority.

This is a long-term assignment, full-time position, with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid workplace model, combining working from home with working onsite in Central Zone.

We are looking for a candidate with a post-secondary diploma in office administration, business administration, or secretarial program, and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing, and organizational skills, as well as advanced skills and abilities in modern office practices and technology.

Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French being preferred.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $29.73 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
