Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

At BIG BEE FOOD MART, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to drive sales growth.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient storage.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of store staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage cash and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations and provide feedback for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Work Environment:

Our retail store is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a team-oriented culture. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be working in a busy store environment, interacting with customers, and managing staff. You will be required to work a 30-hour week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Language:

The primary language of communication in our store is English.
