Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Specialist
Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a new challenge? CMHC - SCHL is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Granville Island.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on facility fixtures, including sinks, taps, toilets, window handles, and more.
- Conduct landscaping, leaf blowing, and paving stone repair to maintain a high standard of repair, cleanliness, and sanitation.
- Assist with woodwork repair, boardwalks, and benches, ensuring a safe and functional environment.
- Clear gutters, drains, and perform roof work as required.
- Provide general cleaning services, including sweeping, pressure washing, and waste removal.
- Represent CMHC and Granville Island in a professional and courteous manner, providing information to customers and tenants as needed.
Requirements:
- Building maintenance experience, preferably in a marine environment.
- A valid driver's license.
- Customer service experience and safety knowledge as per Workers Compensation Board regulations and the Canada Labour Code.
- The ability to adapt to changes and show initiative when needed.
