Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Site Supervisor to oversee and coordinate hands-on activities on construction job sites. The successful candidate will be able to define project goals, determine required resources, allocate resources, establish protocols and standards, and schedule staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Define project scope, determine resources, allocate resources, establish protocols, and schedule staff.
  • Emergency Response: Handle emergencies according to established procedures and prepare accident reports.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities within the department, subcontractors, supervisors, and managers.
  • Site Visits and Meetings: Attend site visits and meetings to understand the scope of the project.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment.
  • Reporting: Prepare schedules, work progress, production, and other reports.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and evaluate staff, complete employee reviews, and maintain accurate records of employee attendance and timesheets.
  • Project Change Management: Manage project change orders from pricing to processing and planning workflow, and assessing cost and schedule impact.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance and control activities, such as site reviews, and ensure adherence to contract requirements.
  • Project Closeout: Administer project closeout, including document archiving, maintenance, and warranty manuals.
  • Health and Safety: Follow Duron's Health and Safety Policy and Procedure, as well as COR Guidelines and industry best practices for a safe workplace.
Requirements
  • A University Degree or Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • An ability to supervise, coordinate, collaborate, and lead a team.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction, preferably.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding construction documents, including Specifications, Contractual Documents, and Construction Drawings.
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, and Excel skills.
  • A sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals and objectives.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organization skills.
  • Ability to work well with shifting priorities and change in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
