The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of our freight operations division, working closely with our Midland executive team to establish short and long-term goals for growth while delivering on performance and projected financial results.

In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for our freight brokerage division, including identifying new business opportunities and exploring strategic growth and expansion opportunities throughout North America.
  • Leading a high-performing team to achieve stretch targets and exceeding expectations, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure their success.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with rail and intermodal service providers, ensuring compliance with Irving requirements and negotiating rates and services that meet our needs.
  • Collaborating with our IGM Corporate VP of Supply Chain and team to capture as much business as possible from outside providers and work with IGM affiliates to maximize service levels, case full rates, and cost reduction.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

  • A university degree in business, logistics, or a related field, with equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of experience leading teams in the freight brokerage industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation, logistics, and warehousing industries, with expertise in LTL, TL, Courier, and 3PL services.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and lead a high-performance team.
