SAMA is the recognized leader and authority on property assessment in Saskatchewan.
About the RoleThe Managing Director, Assessment Services Division, will provide strategic and operational leadership in the delivery of property assessment services, including inspection and re-inspection of properties, sales verification, market analysis, revaluation, and support of value.
Key responsibilities include leading, coaching, and mentoring the Assessment Services Division's management team to achieve the Division's goals, objectives, and performance expectations.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain a divisional structure that is forward looking, client-focused, and ensures continuity of efficient and effective service delivery to municipalities.
Fostering a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and encourages openness, honesty, integrity, and mutual respect is also a key aspect of this role.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline (business, agriculture) with a minimum of fifteen years of property assessment experience, including at least eight years at a management level.
Licensure as an accredited assessment appraiser through the Saskatchewan Assessment Appraisers' Association is also required.
Leadership CompetenciesThe successful candidate will possess strong leadership competencies, including strategic orientation, effective communication, building organizational community, accountability, innovation, planning and risk management, performance management, inclusivity, and process management.
