Job Summary

A Plant Manager is needed to oversee the entire production process, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.

This position entails strategic planning, operational oversight, and leadership to achieve production objectives in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement strategic plans to meet production goals, enhance resource efficiency, and elevate overall plant performance.
  • Closely collaborate with senior management to align plant objectives with the broader company business strategy.
  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, prioritizing production scheduling, materials management, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent meeting or exceeding of production targets.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste effectively.
  • Maintain high-quality control standards to ensure exceptional product production.
  • Introduce quality assurance initiatives focused on continuous improvement of product quality.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of production personnel, including supervisors, operators, and support staff.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that prioritizes safety, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to develop the skills and capabilities of the production team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards by enforcing protocols that create a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in plant management within a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of work experience with Production Schedules.
  • 10+ years of work experience with People Development.
  • Experience being part of rapid growth, change, or an acquisition.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in inventory management and production scheduling.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is between CA$125,000 - CA$150,000.
