Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Finishing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining automated or manual powder coating systems to ensure high-quality finishes on products or components.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. System Operation:
  • Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, curing ovens, and conveyor systems.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure uniform and consistent coating applications.
  • Perform start-up, shut down, and emergency stops for the automatic and manual guns system.
  • Manage automatic mode operations, calibrate systems, and select/modify recipes for different parts.
Preparation:
  • Prepare parts for painting by cleaning, masking, and hanging components on racks or conveyor systems.
  • Inspect parts for defects or irregularities prior to coating.
Powder Coating Application:
  • Apply powder coatings evenly to achieve desired finish specifications, including thickness, texture, and color.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and quality standards for appearance and durability.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
  • Identify and solve issues with automatic and manual guns.
  • Disassemble and assemble manual and automatic guns, set air volume and pressure, and select appropriate nozzle types.
  • Perform routine maintenance on powder coating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect finished products to verify they meet quality standards.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in powder coating or a related field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of powder coating systems, materials, and techniques is essential.
  • The ability to interpret work orders, technical specifications, and safety guidelines is necessary.
  • A strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset is required.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a manufacturing environment is necessary.
Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive total compensation package, including a salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. This includes comprehensive executive benefits, such as extended health care, dental care, and long-term disability.
