Post Secondary Summer Employment Program – Early Childhood Education Assistant

**Job Summary**
The Seabird Island Band is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic post-secondary student to join our Summer Placement Program in Early Childhood Education. As an Early Childhood Education Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals to provide a safe and engaging environment for children aged 6-12.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in planning and implementing culturally appropriate activities and experiences for children
- Support the creation of a safe and healthy environment, including daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, and record-keeping
- Participate in field trips and daily events
- Collaborate with the Summer Program Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the program
**Requirements**
- Must be a post-secondary student with a minimum of 15 years of age and a valid Social Insurance number
- Must have a bank account and a BC Services Card
- First Aid, Babysitting, and Food Safe certificates are an asset
- Experience working with children and ability to work as a member of a team
