Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our construction projects in Bowmanville, ON.

About the Job

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing scope of work documents, leading constructability reviews, and developing Business Case Summaries for Senior Management, the Executive Office, and the Board of Directors. You will also prepare and coordinate all information pertinent to assigned projects and alternatives for input into planning.

You will review and provide input to project charters for assigned projects, prepare and coordinate estimates, schedules, execution plans, contracting strategies, and project oversight plans. Additionally, you will develop work breakdown structures for estimating and controlling project funds, gather input from stakeholder departments and agencies to ensure project requirements are captured and detailed in the estimate and execution plans.

You will arrange for application to, and negotiate with, internal and external agencies for all necessary approvals, licenses, permits, or clearances required. Ensure proper process is followed when defining labour requirements and arranging for labour resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Coordination: Prepare scope of work documents, lead constructability reviews, and develop Business Case Summaries for Senior Management, the Executive Office, and the Board of Directors.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Review and provide input to project charters for assigned projects, prepare and coordinate estimates, schedules, execution plans, contracting strategies, and project oversight plans.
  • Liaison and Communication: Maintain close liaison with field construction forces and operations on matters involving design, schedules, costing, and other related issues.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in mechanical engineering, specifically in Power Operated Valve or piping design.
  • Experience in project management, specifically experience in developing project requirements and plans, preparing cost estimates, participating in contract bidding and award processes, managing projects in execution phase, and managing project closeout.
  • Familiarity with equipment and processes in generating stations or similar heavy industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement savings plan.
