At AK Tool & Die Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Precision Machine Technician to join our team. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of $45,000 - $65,000 per year.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, as well as measuring and laying out work pieces in preparation for assembly. They will also be required to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables, and document any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintaining Machine Tools: Repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments, maintain inspection records, and complete inspection reports.
- Setting Up Production Machineries: Set up and adjust production machineries/tools, fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
- Interpreting Engineering Drawings: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
- Documenting Work: Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 7 months of experience working with machine tools. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is essential.
