Job Description

As a Senior Mechanical Electrical & Systems Estimator, you will be responsible for producing M&E cost estimates for major infrastructure construction projects from feasibility/concept design up to detailed design. This includes providing M&E associated costings of options as part of project Optioneering stages, and providing M&E cost reconciliation cost estimates including associated justification to be presented to project clients and key stakeholders.

You will also be involved in developing, validating, and controlling the Target Price within an Integrated Project Team, and participating in probabilistic risk assessment workshops to calculate contingency provisions. Additionally, you will provide client advice on capital and operational expenditure (OPEX) element of the project, and produce cost benchmark for validation and target-setting on major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing M&E cost estimates for major infrastructure construction projects
  • Providing M&E associated costings of options
  • Providing M&E cost reconciliation cost estimates
  • Developing, validating, and controlling the Target Price
  • Participating in probabilistic risk assessment workshops
  • Providing client advice on capital and operational expenditure
  • Producing cost benchmark for validation and target-setting

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in cost estimating positions across pre-contract/post-contract phases of infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge and proficiency with estimating software used on major civil engineering projects
  • Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction Management Degree and/or M&E Certification or equivalent
