About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the effective delivery of multi-million dollar and multi-year mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Work under the general direction of the Associate Director, Energy & Climate Change.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Oversee project teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure the successful commissioning, deficiency completion, and warranty reviews of projects.
  • Optimize the operation of existing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
  • Implement demand reduction strategies to leverage lower Global Adjustment costs.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • P. Eng. designation, licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario, or equivalent.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
  • 5-9 years of experience in project management, construction, and mechanical building services projects.
  • Experience with diverse mechanical building services projects, including air-based and hydronic systems, boilers, chillers, rooftop, HVAC, controls, piping.
  • Experience with geo-exchange, heat pumps, biomass, and/or other alternate energy technologies.
  • Experience with designing or constructing central utility plants and/or central plant equipment.
  • Experience in district cooling or heating network design or construction.
  • Experience with commissioning, financial, and administrative procedures.
