Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Charles Joseph Plastering LTD.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, providing economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects, and creating and submitting estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Costing: Prepare accurate and detailed estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects.
  • Economic Feasibility Studies: Conduct economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects to determine their viability and potential return on investment.
  • Estimate Reports and Bids: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms to clients and stakeholders.
  • Tendering and Contracting: Advise on tendering procedures, analyze tenders, and recommend awards to ensure the best possible outcomes for the company.
  • Cost Monitoring and Reporting: Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenses and ensure compliance with budget requirements.
  • Supply and Contractor Management: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
