Food Service Manager

Lighthouse Bistro & Pub is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Oversee the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Train and Develop Staff: Provide guidance and training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, maintaining accurate records and minimizing waste.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet our high quality standards, consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing food order summaries for our chef and supervising the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules, ensuring that our team is adequately staffed and prepared to meet customer demand.
As a Food Service Supervisor at Lighthouse Bistro & Pub, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work a 40-hour week.
