Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Adjuster to join our team at Crawford & Company. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for evaluating commercial auto and property claims through loss investigation and negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, collect, and analyze claims information
  • Evaluate coverage, liability, and quantum
  • Negotiate, settle, and finalize claims
  • Accurately record, report, and present files
  • Maintain accurate billing, time, and expense records
  • Work with manager to maintain client relationships

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of technical claims handling experience in commercial auto and property claims handling
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is considered an asset
  • CIP designation or working towards CIP designation is required
  • Independent Adjuster Licensed with ability to maintain a full adjusting license in your home province
  • Strong computer and reporting skills, including Office 365 and Windows 10
  • A team player with outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical ability
  • Able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong PC skills, including application-based skills
  • Complete continuing education courses as required by Crawford and Company, province, or professional trade association
