About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker Assistant to join our team at Affordable Kitchens. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced cabinetmakers in the assembly and installation of high-quality kitchen cabinets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Safely load and unload construction materials, including lumber, cabinets, and hardware, from trucks and storage areas.
  • Assembly and Installation: Assist experienced cabinetmakers in the assembly and installation of kitchen cabinets, including measuring, cutting, and fitting components.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain and organize tools and equipment, ensuring that they are in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy materials, and stand for long periods.
