We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker's Assistant to join our team at Allwood Carpentry Manufacturing. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cabinetmaking processes.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and Unloading Materials
You will be responsible for loading and unloading construction materials, ensuring that they are properly stored and organized in our factory or plant setting.
Cleaning and Piling Salvaged MaterialsYou will clean and pile salvaged materials, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Tending to Machines and EquipmentYou will tend to or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring that they are properly maintained and functioning correctly.
Equipment and Machinery ExperienceYou will have experience with nail guns and hand tools, and be able to operate them safely and efficiently.
Construction SpecializationYou will have experience in industrial, commercial, and institutional construction, as well as residential construction.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesYou will work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks. You will also need to have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
Weight HandlingYou will be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and handle heavy loads safely and efficiently.
Own Tools/EquipmentYou will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and have your own tools and equipment.
Personal SuitabilityYou will be a dependable team player, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
ExperienceYou will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
