About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker's Assistant to join our team at Allwood Carpentry Manufacturing. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cabinetmaking processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Safely load and unload construction materials, including lumber and other supplies, from trucks and storage areas.
  • Material Handling: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and assist in the transportation of materials around the factory.
  • Machinery Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, including nail guns and hand tools.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Work Environment: The work site environment is dusty, and the work setting is in a factory or plant.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs).
  • Teamwork and Communication: As a team player, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
