Our client, a renowned player in the Toronto construction landscape, is seeking an accomplished Lead Project Manager to spearhead the execution of large-scale infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing project construction activities, managing on-site operations, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of pressure piping code requirements and TSSA standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of construction experience and a proven track record of successfully executing complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the construction activities on large educational and industrial projects
- Oversee on-site construction operations, including safety, client interface, procurement, quality, and execution
- Manage change and scope creep, maintaining control and balance of costs, schedules, and people
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration and integrity, ensuring open communication with clients and subcontractors
Requirements
- At least 7 years of construction experience with a strong understanding of pressure piping code requirements and TSSA standards
- Proven track record of seamlessly executing complex projects, building trust and respect among stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal), coupled with effective listening and negotiation abilities
- Determinate and resilient with an adaptability in overcoming challenges and maintaining focus under pressure
- College or university degree, complemented by a strong background of experiences including knowledge, skills, and abilities
