Lead Accounting Professional for Financial Reporting

At Insight Recruitment Inc., we are currently seeking a skilled Manager Accounting to join our team in Toronto. This full-time role will report directly to the Director of Accounting and focus on financial reporting and analysis for 2 main revenue streams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including closing books for various departments.
  • Prepare in-depth analysis and commentary for internal financial reporting packages presented to senior management.
  • Oversee general accounting duties, including reviewing and approving journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to assist with annual audits and League Reporting reports and audits.
  • Review and approve variance analysis comparing actual results to plan and forecast for inclusion in ownership presentations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with individual management experience.
  • Post-graduate degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or nearing completion is mandatory.
  • Able to build and lead effectively, focusing on coaching and growing the skills of individuals on your team.
  • Technical accounting knowledge in IFRS, including IFRS 15.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, developing logical solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and Excel, VBA.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. If you have the required skills and qualifications, please submit your application for consideration.
