QualificationsRegistration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant is required. Additionally, General duty staff nurse positions require Basic Life Support, Level C, while specialty unit nurse positions, such as Operating Room, Post Anesthetic Recovery, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry, require specialty certification and up to two years of recent related experience.
- Critical Care, Emergency, and Intensive Care nurse positions also require Advanced Cardiac Life Support and specialty certification, along with up to two years of recent related experience.
- The ability to apply the nursing process effectively and efficiently to the care of assigned patients is essential.
- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the position is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- The ability to remain calm and act appropriately in stressful and emergency situations is critical.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $73,000 - $96,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
