Job Title: Advancement Assistant

Incarnate Word Academy is a college preparatory high school that strives to empower young women of faith to achieve their academic, physical, spiritual, and emotional potential. As a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, we aim to make a positive impact on our world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the Raiser's Edge NXT database with the highest levels of professional conduct and confidentiality.
  • Assist with donor relations by building mutually beneficial connections between IWA and its constituents.
  • Generate accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Process gifts and prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence.
  • Provide general administrative and event support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a liberal arts or business field preferred with related work experience in database management, specifically Raiser's Edge NXT.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for IWA's mission.
  • Proven ability to multitask with a high level of attention to detail and output in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and professionally with all levels of internal and external clients.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers and volunteers to accomplish objectives successfully.
  • Ability to work in an environment that embraces a diverse community of students, employees, parents, and alumnae.
  • Strong proficiency in a variety of computer software applications, including Google suite of programs, Microsoft Office, donor databases, presentation software, email, and social media platforms.
  • Proven ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to create and follow through with an annual plan.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Other Information:
  • A criminal history and background check are required and must be completed successfully.
  • Generally works in standard office conditions and climate.
  • Occasional flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
