About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker, Building to join our team at Mainstreet Equity Corp. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and tenants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contacting tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Conduct safety and security checks to ensure the building is secure and free from hazards.
  • Supervise other workers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as required.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 32 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
