About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mortgage Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a Mortgage Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping our customers achieve their dream of homeownership by providing expert guidance and support throughout the mortgage application process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and build relationships with a referral network to generate new mortgage business and increase BMO's share of the home financing market.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer them to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
  • Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
  • Follow corporate policies, operating directives, legal and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Need

  • Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Expert knowledge of self-management and teamwork, personal lending, relationship sales and management.
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, trust services, business and commercial lending, and cash management.
  • Strong knowledge of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market.
