Job Overview:

Startec Refrigeration Service is seeking a skilled Technical Sales Representative to join our team at our Calgary office. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth by combining technical expertise and sales skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and collaborate with Account Managers to develop innovative solutions for customers' refrigeration needs.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and proposals based on customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
  • Travel occasionally to support customers and technicians.

Performance Indicators:

Customer Service (45%):

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Sales Process Management (45%):

  • Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions for their refrigeration needs.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Customers to develop customized solutions that align with their specific requirements.

Administration (10%):

  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Enter and update customer information and sales activities in the CRM system.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic or equivalent with experience in recreational and ammonia service gas field experience or both.
  • Minimum 5+ years of working experience in the trades industry.
  • Minimum 3+ years of working experience in a customer service or sales capacity role.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and products.
  • Strong understanding of Ammonia refrigeration, energy-efficient solutions, and environmental regulations.
