Job Summary:The Delivery Person Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our delivery team, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary resources to complete tasks
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to meet the needs of the team
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage the team's budget
- Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels
- Establish work schedules and ensure the team is working efficiently
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory, including tracking and reporting
- Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory role
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, youth employment, Veterans, Indigenous people, or visible minorities
- Permanent employment with 40 hours per week
- English language proficiency
