The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in our facility for the daily production of our products. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair processing equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and machinery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of plant and equipment operations, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, and control systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • Red Seal Certification in Millwrighting or a related trade.
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance and repair, preferably in a food processing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
