Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in East Winnipeg. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial and commercial weighing systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your trade skills and work towards becoming a Measurement Canada Recognized Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and/or assist with the setup, installation, repair, maintenance, calibration, and certification of industrial and commercial weighing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze industry-related equipment and make repairs as required.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and provide technical assistance both in person and over the phone.
  • Write neat and accurate service reports and calibration certificates.
  • Attend company training as requested.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Class 3 and air brakes.
  • Ability to travel within Canada for up to a week as needed.
  • Must be able to work in various indoor and outdoor environments and may be exposed to dust, dirt, and fumes.
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry 40-50lbs hand weights.
  • Have a good understanding of the English language, written and oral.
  • Must be organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • Must be committed to learning.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a background check and drug and alcohol screening prior to hiring.
What We Offer
  • Predominantly Monday to Friday schedule with some weekend work as needed.
  • Hourly wages starting at $20/hour with opportunities for additional increase in the first year based on performance and speed of learning.
