Job Summary:
Ultra Electronics Group is seeking an experienced Director of Contracts and Commercial Operations to join our team. As a key member of our commercial function, you will be responsible for negotiating and administering contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing strategic support to our business development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and administer contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Provide strategic support to business development teams, including proposal development and contract management
- Lead contract negotiations and day-to-day contract administration activities
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to support business growth and development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective contract management and administration
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in commercial/contracts administration
- ~2+ years of experience managing 2 or more direct reports
- Capable of acquiring a NATO Secret security clearance and a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment
- Degree in Law, Commerce, or related field from an accredited institution
- Experience managing relationships with key stakeholders
- Knowledge of contract law and government regulations as they relate to commercial and contracts
- High level of capability with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
