Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a skilled EIT Building Science Specialist to join our team of technical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive reports on building envelope condition assessments, leak investigations, and warranty reviews.
  • Develop building envelope design solutions, including drafting design and construction documents, and applying knowledge of City and Municipal Building Codes.
  • Conduct third-party reviews of building envelope designs for new construction and major retrofit projects.
  • Participate in field reviews, investigations, contract administration, and quality assurance during consulting and new construction projects.
  • Conduct window tests, air leakage tests, and other field testing.

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to expand knowledge and experience.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to achieve repeat business.
  • Complete services in compliance with scope and JRS company standards and procedures.
  • Meet internal and external deadlines while handling multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Applied Science/Engineering and EIT designation with EGBC.
  • 1-4 years of work experience in building science or construction.
  • Commitment to professional development through conferences, seminars, publications, and presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Superb organizational, time management, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-starter with flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and workload.

Annual Salary Range – $55,000 to $75,000
