About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Software Engineer with extensive experience in AWS cloud services to join our SUNRISE team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and efficient data engineering and bioinformatics systems using Python and AWS tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, and SNS.
  • Design and implement data pipelines using AWS DataZone and AWS Bedrock to process and analyze large datasets.
  • Work closely with engineers to integrate GenAI and RAG solutions into internal chatbots to enhance usability and data discovery.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software applications in a production environment using best practices in software engineering.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing tools in Python for High-Performance Computing and cloud solutions.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Python.
  • Familiarity with supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-performance software in cloud environments.
  • Knowledgeable about data structures, message envelopes, and schema design.
