About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our SUNRISE team, specializing in Data Engineering and Bioinformatics systems development. As a senior Python software engineer, you will leverage your expertise in AWS to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy cloud-based applications using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, and SNS.
  • Design and implement data pipelines using AWS DataZone and AWS Bedrock, ensuring high-performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to integrate data and existing capabilities into internal chatbots, enhancing usability and data discovery.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate solutions to foster innovation and enable the company to explore solutions in a shorter time-frame.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software applications in a production environment, adhering to best practices in software engineering.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in developing tools in Python for High-Performance Computing and cloud solutions.
  • Experience enabling various AWS services using infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform and Python.
  • Familiarity with supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
  • Working experience with Lambda, Step functions, SQS & SNS (minimum 2 years).
  • Proven track record of developing multiple software applications in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated adherence to best practices in software engineering, including usability, version control, testing, and abstraction.
