Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse - Oncology-Palliative Unit

North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Oncology-Palliative Unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with physicians, staff, and volunteers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient-centered care, prioritizing the needs of our patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, educate, and prevent health issues.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, and families to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Medication Certificate.
  • One year recent experience in Medicine/General Surgery, preferred.
  • Oncology/palliative care experience preferred.
  • Bilingualism in French/English and asset.
