Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

The Teddington is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and ensure infection control
  • Apply aseptic techniques, including sterile dressing, and observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Take vital signs and provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, and tuberculosis test
  • Vulnerable sector check
Work Environment:

The Registered Practical Nurse will work in a nursing home/home for the aged, providing care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail.
