Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Registered Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working under the supervision of a registered nurse or other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and conduct specimen collection
  • Ensure infection control and monitor nutritional intake
  • Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Take vital signs and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
  • Train students, other technologists, or nurses
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
Work Environment:

The Registered Practical Nurse will work in a retirement home setting, providing care to patients with various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, manage a large caseload, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
